Sugar Snap Peas are always in high demand at markets and at home! Kids & adults alike love the sweet taste and crunchy snap of these classic stringless peas. A highly productive variety that climbs 5-6 feet tall and produces smooth and round 3" pods. When pods get too hard, shell the peas to add to soups, pot pie & your favorite dishes. Sugar Snap Peas were bred in the 1970s by Calvin Lamborn at Gallatin Valley Seed and have remained a favorite ever since!
Planting Instructions: A cool weather crop, peas should be planted directly in the ground in early spring or early fall. As soon as ground can be worked in early spring, plant Sugar Snap Pea seeds 1" deep, 3-4" apart. Provide a trellis or fence to climb.
Seed Saving Instructions: Gather Sugar Snap Peas (which are the seeds) when pods are dry and crunchy. Store in a cool, dark and dry place.
