Monterey B.t. Concentrate (Gal)

Monterey B.t. is a one-gallon biological insecticide concentrate containing Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies kurstaki (Btk). It is intended for label-listed caterpillar larvae, including certain loopers, hornworms, leafrollers, webworms, and moth larvae on specified vegetables, fruits, nuts, shade trees, and ornamentals. Susceptible larvae must consume treated foliage, making early application and thorough coverage essential.

Scout plants for newly hatched larvae, feeding holes, frass, or rolled leaves and treat while caterpillars are still small. Dilute only at the rate assigned to the crop and pest, then cover upper and lower leaf surfaces without runoff. Reinspect after treatment and repeat only within the label interval when continued activity warrants it. Sunlight and weathering reduce residues on foliage, so time sprays for favorable conditions and avoid an application when rain is imminent. Btk is selective among labeled caterpillars; confirm that the damaging organism is not a beetle larva, sawfly larva, or other unaffected pest. Observe every crop-specific harvest interval, storage direction, and environmental precaution.
